Rolex Datejust 16233 'Champagne' (1991)
There is something special about collecting vintage Rolex watches. There are countless details that distinguish one piece from another, from unique case materials and case shapes to the refined aesthetics of the dial. These are the most prominent and immediately noticeable characteristics. You will also immediately notice that this (neo)vintage Rolex 16233 with champagne dial is a true classic!
Together with the introduction of the Datejust, the iconic five-piece Jubilee bracelet was also launched. Initially, it appeared in solid gold, followed by the bicolor variant. At that time, buyers could choose between a Jubilee or an Oyster bracelet, although the latter is less common with Datejust 16233 models. This watch is a perfect example of how an elegant vintage Datejust should look. The combination of the steel case, the 18K yellow gold bezel, the champagne 'Roman minute track' dial, and the gold steel Jubilee bracelet creates an iconic, elegant, and at the same time sporty appearance.
This beautiful (neo)vintage Rolex Datejust 16233 with old-school champagne dial from 1992 is in stunning condition. The 36mm steel case, along with the 18K yellow gold fluted bezel, is still razor-sharp and both appear to be unpolished. A part of the original green Rolex factory sticker has been preserved on the case back. The Jubilee bracelet shows slight acceptable stretch and is still in perfect condition. The reliable 3135 movement has been serviced. The watch comes with a 1-year warranty from 10 over 10.
Note: Because we have all our Rolex watches undergo a movement check and if necessary a maintenance service, it may take some time before they are available. As a result, these watches may remain 'coming soon' for an extended period.

Datejust
In the year 1945, the first Datejust was introduced to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Rolex under reference 4467. This was the first self-winding watch with a waterproof case that also indicated the date and automatically changed after midnight. The Datejust was equipped with a fluted bezel and the famous Jubilee bracelet that was specially designed for the Datejust. The date was displayed at the 3 o'clock position. 10 years later, in 1955, the date window was equipped with a cyclops lens that magnified the date by up to 2.5 times.
Most iconic Rolex models were produced to be used as tool watches. However, the Datejust had no specific purposes. This model was meant to be a classic, reliable, and everyday watch suitable for any occasion in daily life.
