Omega Speedmaster Professional 3590.50 (1991)
In 1957, the Omega Speedmaster was introduced. This model was used as a tool watch, including in the racing world, thanks to its chronograph function. The Speedmaster is especially known as the watch worn by NASA and was the first watch on the moon. NASA wanted to provide its astronauts with a durable timepiece, and Omega passed all the rigorous tests conducted between 1964 and 1965. After these successful tests, Omega was officially certified by NASA, and the entire Apollo 11 crew wore a Speedmaster. Since then, the Speedmaster Professional has become Omega's most famous watch.
This fully original vintage Omega Speedmaster 3590.50 with 'long S and long R' dial dates back to 1991 and remains an iconic model that every watch collector should have. With its razor-sharp case and some signs of use, the watch is in excellent condition. The tritium on the dial, which is still completely intact, has developed a beautiful patina. This patina is characteristic of the '90s models and makes this watch even more special, something we are particularly excited about! In reality, this warm hue is even more beautiful than in the photos! The matching Omega 1479 bracelet shows little to no stretch and is still in perfect condition. The watch is also equipped with an original Omega crystal, featuring the logo engraving in the center. This Omega Speedmaster 3590.50 from 1991 offers the perfect balance between vintage and modern! The reliable Omega 861 movement has undergone a full service and comes with a one-year mechanical warranty from 10 over 10.

Omega
La Generale Watch Co., the parent company of Omega, was founded in 1848 in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, by 23-year-old Louis Brandt, who was assembling watches. In 1866, Louis Brandt passed away, and the company was continued by his two sons, Louis-Paul and Cesar. They decided to move the assembly to a different location. The brothers made significant progress, and in 1894 they introduced a new caliber to the market: the famous 19-line caliber. This caliber was so accurate and successful that the brothers decided to change the name of their company to "Omega Watch Co." in 1903. Since 1998, Omega has been owned by the Swatch Group under the name Omega SA.
