Tudor Submariner 94110 'Snowflake' (1981)
The reference 94110 was in production from 1968 through the 1980s. The watch was available with either a black or blue dial and was equipped with a quick-set date function. The Tudor Submariner earned the nickname 'Snowflake' due to its square hour markers, which resemble snowflakes. This unique hand design was introduced by Rolex/Tudor to improve visibility in low-light conditions. Like the Rolex Submariner, the Tudor Snowflake Submariner has a rich history. Tudor supplied these watches to both the U.S. Army and the French Navy (Marine Nationale).
This vintage Tudor Submariner 94110 dates back to 1981 and is in excellent vintage condition. The original tritium on the dial and matching hands has aged beautifully, something we are naturally very pleased with! The lume pearl on the black bezel was replaced in the past and lights up. The 40mm case is thick and retains its sharp lugs. The watch is fitted with the 93150 Rolex Oyster bracelet, which shows some stretch for its age but is still in great condition. This stunning Tudor Snowflake 94110 from 1981 comes with a one-year warranty from 10 over 10.

Tudor
Rolex was founded in 1905 by the famous German businessman Hans Wilsdorf. In 1926, Rolex introduced its first waterproof watch, the renowned Oyster. That same year, founder Hans Wilsdorf had another goal in mind: he wanted to establish a watch brand that would be more accessible to a wider audience, while maintaining the same quality and reliability as Rolex. Wilsdorf tasked dealer Philippe Hüther in Geneva with creating the Tudor brand. While Rolex used high-quality in-house movements, Tudor had its movements produced elsewhere and utilized ETA movements, which allowed Tudor to remain affordable. A key reason for Tudor's success in its early years was its ability to use Rolex’s waterproof Oyster case, giving customers access to Rolex’s legendary durability at a more accessible price.
